Job Title: Registry & Communications Coordinator

Overview:

The Minnesota Community Health Worker Alliance is a statewide health equity organization. The mission of the Alliance is optimal health outcomes for all and we achieve this mission by promoting Community Health Worker (CHW) strategies.

The Minnesota Community Health Worker Alliance is seeking a full-time Registry & Communications Coordinator. The Registry & Communications Coordinator is responsible for operation and administration of The Alliance’s CHW Registry under the guidance of the Communications & Registry Manager, the Executive Director, the Communications Committee, and the Board of Directors. This position will manage and promote the registry to gain membership, ensure a quality experience for members, and assist with website management, social media, and newsletter tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for ongoing development of design, content, and all processes necessary for the operation, promotion, and maintenance of the registry such as:
    • Manage and update registry pages and discussion boards
    • Manage and update registry user profiles ensuring users stay current
    • Correspond with registry users, stakeholders, and potential registrants to ensure a positive user experience and to troubleshoot issues
    • Market, promote, and recruit for the registry in various situations such as visiting CHW certificate programs or presenting at conferences
    • Create new ideas, products, and promotional efforts for the registry.
    • Manage data queries by pulling data, cleaning, filtering, and communicating with individuals requesting information.
    • Create and update reports on the registry, CHW field, and MNCHWA marketing efforts on a regular, recurring basis
  • Coordinate and participate in regular meetings with the Communications Committee
  • Report to the Executive Director and Board of Directors as needed
  • Assist in the management of The Alliance’s online presence through the organization’s social media and website:
    • Creating, designing, and scheduling regular posts on social media platforms and website in collaboration with the Communications & Registry Manager
    • Updating and managing all informational content on the Alliance’s website as well as creating new pages and resources as needed with oversight from the Communications & Registry Manager
  • Assist with the overhaul of the registry to collect more varied and valuable data

Reporting Requirements:

This position reports directly to the Communications & Registry Manager.

Qualifications:

  • High school education or equivalent. Two years post high school training/education preferred or five years combined education and experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Working knowledge of WordPress, Adobe Creative Suite, MailChimp, and Microsoft 365
  • Operate tools, technology, and equipment in accordance with MNCHWA protocols, procedures, and standards. Demonstrate ability to select and apply appropriate tools or technological solutions to the problem at hand
  • Experience marketing on social media and the differences between platforms
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of databases and ability to create reports using demographic data
  • Familiarity with project management and regular upkeep of tasks and trackers.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize projects in order of impact and timeliness. Understanding of deadlines and deliverables
  • Capability to work independently while also exercising judgement on when to seek guidance to ensure success
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to comfortably present to groups
  • Skilled in networking and relationship building; ability to establish and maintain rapport with diverse stakeholders
  • Investment and commitment to the continued growth of health equity and public health efforts through the use of CHWs

Benefits:

  • This is a full time, 40 hour per week position
  • Eligible to work remotely with travel/in office as needed

  • Salary range of $55,000-$70,000/yr commensurate with experience.
