Helping a dedicated organization fulfill its Mission of better community health through CHWs.
Why do you believe CHWs are integral to health equity?
CHWs have a cultural understanding and often are rooted in the diverse communities of the populations they serve. In many settings they bridge the gap between the traditional, disparate healthcare system and the social and ethnic needs of their patients.
What are your hopes for the Alliance or CHW field in the next few years?
To expand the outreach and participation in the work of the Alliance. To continue to advance the importance, educational opportunities and use of CHWs across settings within healthcare and social services.
