April 2024 CHW Learning Circle

Learning Circle on Wednesday April 3, 2024 from 3-4:30 PM. The title of the program is 8 Healthy Homes Principles. 

Important information about the Eight Healthy Homes Principles: Keep it dry, keep it clean, keep it pest-free, keep it ventilated, keep it safe, keep it contaminant-free, keep it maintained and keep it thermally controlled.

Understand the connections between health and housing and how to take a holistic approach to identify and resolve problems, which threaten the health and well-being of residents.

Presented by Rachelle Menanteau Peleska, MPH

of the Sustainable Resources Center

Rachelle Menanteau Peleska has been with Sustainable Resources Center since 2008 as the Director of Health Education and Outreach Programs. She is responsible for the management of the lead poisoning prevention and training program. This includes community-based screening events, in-home visits, referrals for lead hazard control services, and trainings for lead and healthy homes. Rachelle has been a Training Partner through National Healthy Homes Training Center since 2009. Rachelle also worked for the American Red Cross Twin Cities Chapter. Rachelle graduated from the University of Minnesota and her Master’s in International Public Health from the University of Tulane in New Orleans.
