Come and stay as long as you can and as often you need! The Student Support Open Office hour is Held on the first Thursday of each month from 3:30-4:30 pm (unless otherwise communicated). We are so happy that you are working toward your CHW Certificate, and we are here to provide you with support. Every month, we will discuss various topics and create space for you to ask questions of our staff and provide support for one another.

Student Support Meeting Overview
The Student Support Check In is monthly meetings that allows CHWs students a way to connect, learn and tap into one another’s knowledge through discussion. designed support Check In is brought to you by the Minnesota CHW Alliance which lays out a platform designed of clear organizational goals and objectives and support services for those pursuing a career in the health equity workforce and for the advancement of all those in the CHW profession.

Student Support Services
- Support potential scholarship Awardees through the MNCHWA CHWTP Scholarship application process.
- Assist with trainee/student support needs related to the CHWTP Training
- Provide assistance with trainee support as related to the CHW Workforce
- Provide Assistance with System Navigation and Resource capacity building
- Provide networking and Professional Development Skill building opportunities
- Coordinate student’s needs, desires, and feedback with the Minnesota Community Health Worker education committee.
- Connect students to the Minnesota community health worker Alliance (MNCHWA) and the Minnesota CHW Registry
- Mange forms, documentation, and payments for tuition and SDOH assistance
- Connect students and Apprentices with appropriate resources according to the needs, and geographic location
- Connect Students with the Field Experience Apprenticeship Coordinator
