NAMI-MN “Mental Health First Aid for Older Adults”

Mental Health First Aid is a public education program that teaches participants how to help someone who is developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis. The training helps participants identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental illness and substance use disorders. Mental Health First Aid for Older Adults uses the same content and book used in the Mental Health First Aid curriculum but with a focus older adults. The course is designed to help communities, families and anyone interested in better understanding geriatric mental health issues.
